Here are a few more reflections on Alberta separatism in the wake of the separatist rally in Edmonton on Saturday, Oct 25 and then the submission of the Forever Canada petition on Tuesday, Oct 27.
You're wrong on both fronts. The article is flawed as I pointed out in the beginning, as well as the vanilla cry for Godly men which are being killed off as a direct result of silent spineless pastors. The Lord knows.
'Not much change can be made in Ottawa from Alberta.'? No way, are you serious? I'm shocked at the spiritual dismissiveness and forgetfulness. You need to retrace the last 5 years of events. Alberta had a significant spiritual impact on Ottawa and the whole world took notice and changed because of that. Do you think the enemy is going to admit to us that we foiled their scheme? This is a spiritual battle. It seems though, that point is repeatedly ignored. Especially, when money is at the forefront in so many hearts.
This separatism is about money.
In this interconnection of a world, there are only two languages. Jesus or money. Alberta separatism isnt about Jesus. Dont try to dress up a swine. Its money.
"Now the whole earth had one language and the same words."... money.
Where were the pastors when the men got demolished in family courts? Who keeps the house and the children according to scripture? Who changes their name in marriage? How many men are dead because pastors were silent?
You want strong men now? You killed them with your silence.
Ah but now pastors see money up for grabs so maybe latch on with the crowd to rubber stamp Jesus on it so that the coffers can fatten up the lukewarm can go back to sleep. Nevermind that the Alberta schools celebrate sodomy. Nevermind the weed and cocaine proliferation. Nevermind the sky-rocket divorce rate. Nevermind the family legal abomination. Nevermind all that. Nah, because its just the money.
I'm certain that you neither read this article, nor know the writer.
Pastor Nathan has "killed" no one with "silence". This essay is not silence. The stuff he was writing back in the middle of the covid tyranny was not silence. His public pulpit ministry is not silence. His private counciling is not silence. When he showed up in family court for one of our parishioners, which he has done several times, it was never silence.
The article is not too bad, BUT you always forget to mention that we need BIG Families. Lots of kids. I used to farm and in many ways these articles make me think of the electric prods we use to move stubborn pigs. It was a shock on the ass but it gave no direction. Direction is in what a preacher DOES not in what he writes. That critique is not directed at you but all those who write very nice but only have ink on their hands. :-)
From one who lives in BC I think this is a great article! I wish we had more voices in the church here, who even attempt to address issues like this!

If you must rage, pick the proper target.
If only people would read their bibles. And then this article. Sigh.
